적외선(infrared: IR)

적외선은 태양 광선 스펙트럼에서 가시광선의 적색 빛 외부에 나타나는 0.75μm에서 1,000μm의 파장을 갖는 전자파입니다.적외선은 보이지 않고, 가시광선보다 더 긴 파장을 가지며 물체에 흡수되어 열 에너지로 변하는 특성을 가지고 있습니다

  2. 하나의 센서로 보다 폭넓은 지역을 측정.
  3. 주변온도 표시

접촉 온도계처럼 열평형상태까지 기다릴 필요가 없어 온도감지속도가 빠릅니다

  1. 움직이거나 회전, 진동하는 물체
  2. 강한 전자기장 안에 있는 물체(예, 고주파가열)
  3. 온도변화가 급격한 물체(100msec 단위)
  4. 진공챔버 안의 물체 (윈도우 투과 측정)
  5. 접촉식 온도계로 측정할 수 없는 (또는 접근할 수 없는) 초고온의 물체
  6. 접촉시 손상되거나 오염될 수 있는 물체
  7. 온도분포가 변하는 표면
  8. 접촉할 경우 온도가 변하는 물체
  9. 열전도(thermal-conductivity)가 낮은 물체
  10. 즉석에서 빈번한 온도측정이 요구될 때
